On Saturday, April 9, 2011 at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center,  TEDxNashville hosted its second annual event titled "Wonder".

Distinguished leaders in technology, entertainment, design, science, art, education, government, public policy, healthcare and other areas will share their remarkable thoughts and ideas focused on creating positive changes in our society.

Speakers included human rights warriors, defenders of children, The Black Mozart, climate voices, and two rocketmen--one who strapped his daughter to a home-made water jet pack. (Incidentally, she came on stage to share her version of events!)

This event builds on the highly successful 2010 program titled "Art + Science: The Future of Health". SEE TEDx Nashville 2010

The leadership team of TEDx Nashville is composed of successful entrepreneurs, artists, technologists, communication professionals, philanthropists and PhD's. Together they're building an event that will inspire our community to engage in innovation for social change and that will also serve as the foundation for a strong, ongoing TEDx presence in Middle Tennessee.

The event's target audience is curiously-minded, educated, Middle Tennesseans who are influencers in their fields.

Our favorite was Roy "Futureman" Wooten's flashmob of orchestra players and black ballroom breakdancers performing an homage to Le Chevalier de Saint-George, aka. The Balck Mozart (below).
